He scored his 49th ODI century on his birthday at Eden Gardens, Kolkata against South Africa. After his century, former Pakistan skipper Mohammad Hafeez lashed the batter and called him selfish, he said Kohli did not think of the team but eyed only his personal achievement.
Hafeez was angry about the fact that Kohli was not thinking about the team as he took a single in the last over without hitting a boundary. In response, former English captain Michael Vaughan and former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad protested against the comments. After Hafeez's other cryptic comment, Vaughan trolled the batter, saying that Kohli had bowled the batter in the T20 World Cup 2012.
Team India is currently in exceptional form they became the first team to qualify for the semi-final of the tournament. They have won 8 out of 8 matches and are the only unbeaten side in the tournament so far. They face Netherlands in the final game on November 12 at Bengaluru.
