Sachin Tendulkar believes star India batter could be in current India World Cup 2023 squad

Former India skipper Sachin Tendulkar who has played in six World Cups, for India is the highest run scorer in the tournament's history. He is the best batter of all time.

India is currently playing Afghanistan, at the Arun Jaitely Stadium, New Delhi. The Men in Blue won a hard-fought game against Australia in their opening game of the World Cup. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul played brilliant knocks under pressure. Both the batters scored the fifties in a 200-run chase against the five-time World Champions. The ongoing World Cup is very special for Team India. This is because India has not won any trophy in the last 10 years.

Team India last won the trophy in 2013 and won the World Cup back at home in 2011. The Men in Blue once again has a chance to win the trophy in 2023 considering the home conditions. Former India skipper Sachin Tendulkar who has played in six World Cups, for India is the highest run scorer in the tournament's history. He is the best batter of all time. The 'God of Cricket' has scored 2278 runs and a record six hundred and 15 fifties. 

While speaking on his YouTube channel, the great batter has given a statement regarding the inclusion of a player from the 2011 team in the current Indian team. The veteran was asked apart from Virat and Ashwin, if he could add one member from the 2011 World Cup-winning India team to the current team he named India's one of the best white-ball batter Yuvraj Singh. 

And that's the Man of the Tournament, Mr. Yuvraj Singh: Sachin Tendulkar

Yuvraj Singh won the Player of the Tournament award and he feels that consistency is what would fit him in the current squad. He said, "All XI were good players, but the criteria has to be someone who has done well throughout the tournament. And that's the Man of the Tournament, Mr. Yuvraj Singh (smiles)."

He also said about Ashwin's fighting spirit, "Ashwin is an experienced campaigner and someone who will fight till the last delivery. I know it. He would never be out of the game. His attitude, his approach towards a game is magnificent. I have always liked Ashwin as a bowler and a handy batsman (smiles)."
