Australia won their sixth World Cup title

On November 19, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Australia secured their sixth Cricket World Cup title by triumphing over India in an exhilarating final. Pat Cummins, leading the Australian team, opted to bowl first after winning the toss, a strategic decision that proved effective as they limited India to a modest score of 240 runs.

Travis Head, recuperating from a hand injury just before the tournament, emerged as the standout performer in the match. He scored a remarkable 137 runs and played a pivotal role by taking a crucial catch to dismiss Indian captain Rohit Sharma. Despite facing early challenges in their pursuit, Australia's batting lineup, led by the impactful partnership of Head and Marnus Labuschagne, steered them to a convincing six-wicket victory.

Although Virat Kohli earned the award of player of the series, the day belonged to Australia as they jubilantly celebrated a historic win in front of an enormous crowd. With this title, they also become the only country to win all the World titles in every format.
