Five times champion Mumbai Indians are currently struggling with their poor bowling attack in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023. Despite having a world-class batting line-up, their inexperienced bowling has troubled them a lot. Meanwhile, in recent news, it has been revealed that England pacer Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the ongoing tournament. He has been replaced by Chris Jordan.

In a recent press release, Mumbai Indians informed about their decision. They said that Jofra is yet to recover from the injury and so he will head back to England. MI said, "England all-rounder, Chris Jordan will join the MI squad for the rest of the season, replacing Jofra Archer, whose recovery and fitness continue to be monitored by ECB. Jofra will return home to focus on his rehabilitation."

"Archer was a key part of our campaign in the first half of this season. We wish him the best and cannot wait to have him back with us, fitter, stronger, quicker, deadlier", they added. Notably, Archer has struggled with the bowl in the ongoing tournament. He has been able to clinch just two wickets while bowling 20 overs in the ongoing tournament.

Mumbai Indians are set to face Royal Challengers Bangalore

In their upcoming game, Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians are set to face Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. In the last match between these two franchises, RCB came up as winners as Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis added a massive 150+ runs partnership to clinch the game. Notably, in that match, Virat smacked 24 runs off Jofra Archer in an over.

However, in the upcoming game, Mumbai will look to get back to winning ways as they failed in the last game against CSK. The team will also expect their skipper Rohit to score some runs as he was dismissed for a duck in the last two games. On the other hand, their bowling is also a big concern and the team will have to look into it.
