In a remarkable display of his batting prowess, Babar Azam delivered a record-breaking 11th T20 century and his first in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. He also elevated Peshawar Zalmi to a commanding position against Islamabad United in the 13th match at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Opting to bowl after winning the toss, Islamabad United aimed to capitalise on early breakthroughs. However, Saim Ayub and Babar Azam had other plans. Despite Ayub's dismissal for a brisk 38 off 21 balls, Babar Azam took charge of the innings and anchored Peshawar Zalmi's innings with masterful strokes.

As the captain, Babar led from the front and showcased his exceptional form by notching up his second century of the PSL in just 59 balls. Babar's innings were a testament to his ability to convert a solid start into a substantial score. Importantly, he found himself somewhat isolated at the crease, but undeterred, he consolidated the innings and accelerated when needed.
