Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma will be celebrating his 36th birthday on April 30. Interestingly, he will be in action on the same day as the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will be clashing against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League 2022 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, ahead of the clash, the MI skipper was seen posing with his 5 IPL trophies as the franchise is also celebrating 10 years of Rohit taking the captaincy of MI. All 5 titles of the franchise came under the captaincy of the right-hander. In a video that MI posted, he is seen in the stadium holding the awards while donning a T-shirt with five stars on the collar.

Watch the video here:

Rohit can be seen in the video descending the stairs, posing in the stands, and then lying down to pose with the awards. Naresh Medtiya, a left-arm flicker and rapper who frequently appears as MI's thrower in the nets, wrote the song being played in the backdrop. It wonโ€™t be wrong to say that Rohit is IPLโ€™s most successful captain in terms of championships as in addition to winning the Champions League T20 once, he has won the IPL in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020.

Talking about Rohit's performance so far, In seven games this season, he has amassed 181 runs, including a fifty against the Delhi Capitals (DC). However, MI has fallen short in the IPL 2023, sitting in eighth place in the standings with three victories in seven games. On April 30, MI will play RR while their captain is having a special day.

However, the clash wonโ€™t be easy for MI as RR are currently sitting on top of the table with 10 points in 8 matches. However, Rohit has a lot of work to do even after the conclusion of IPL as he will be leading the Indian national team in the Test Championship final and ODI World Cup this year.
