Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma will be in action on Sunday, April 30 when the five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will lock horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League 2023 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. MI isn’t having a great tournament as they are currently sitting in 9th position in the points table with 6 points in 7 matches.

Meanwhile, Rohit is also celebrating his 36th birthday on the same day so his team will try to make the day even more special for him by winning the match against RR. However, many fans have showered love and wished for the right-hander on social media but the one wish that caught many attention was Yuzvendra Chahal’s wish. But, Rohit’s wife Ritika Sajdeh got an even funnier reply to Chahal’s post.

In reply to that, Ritika wrote: “You stole my husband so you might as well steal my caption”.

Talking about Rohit's performance in the season so far, in the 7 matches he has scored only 181 runs at an average of 25.86 which is one of the biggest reasons for MI's failure in the season so far. Meanwhile, MI's head coach Mark Boucher believes that Rohit is not in bad form and can get a big score any day.

"I think Rohit's in good form. I think he's been hitting the ball really well in the Nets. It's just about the day. He's got some good runs for him. He's playing a nice and aggressive brand of cricket. T20 cricket can sometimes be a risk because you're forced to play quite aggressively, and he's fulfilled the role we've let him to fulfill this season so far. You've probably seen he's been quite aggressive in the way his approach has been, which can take consistency away from your game. But we feel that if Rohit plays like that, then he can be devastating to any opposition." he said ahead of the game against RR.
