The SA20 second season has recently concluded. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape (SUNE) won their second title in a row. Aiden Markram's side has been dominant throughout the tournament. The Orange Army has been a side that has looked good on paper but has not performed according to the same in the tournament, especially in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Though they have won the SA20 for the back-to-back season they will be looking to bring back their glory days in the rich cash league as well.
There were the players who shined for their respective franchises. They have performed superbly throughout the tournament leading their teams in pressure situations. Some of the players gave their best but could not lead their team to win the trophy. Durban's Super Giants were the finalists and they failed to win the tournament for the very first time.
With IPL coming Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) players who were part of the championship squad and other players as well will be gearing up for the toughest tournament in the world and would like to continue the same form they had in the SA20 so that they can give the Orange Army their 2nd IPL title. In the article, we will be looking for the SRH players who performed superbly in the SA20.
Here are the 3 SRH players who performed well in SA20
3. Marco Jensen
Marco Jensen has been an asset for the national side and as well as the franchise he has played for. SUNE is the sister franchise of SRH. Jensen has been part of both sides and has been a key member as well. Jensen was fantastic throughout the tournament as he was the highest wicket-taker picking 20 wickets in 10 matches with an economy of 7.66. He will try to give the same performance in the rich cash league and win the tournament for the side as well.
2. Heinrich Klassen
Heinrich Klassen has been the best white-ball cricketer for South Africa. The wicket-keeper batter is known for his aggressive style of batting. He was the second-highest run scorer in the recently concluded franchise league with 447 runs in 13 games with an average of 40.63. The batter also performed well in the last edition of the IPL and will be the obvious choice in the IPL side as well.
1. Aiden Markram
Aiden Markram is the captain for both the franchise in the SA20 and in IPL as well. The batting all-rounder has been in good form and won the tournament as well for the second consecutive year. However, his leadership skills and strategies have not be up to the mark in the IPL and that is why his team has suffered. However, he would like to make his skills better and perform well as he did in the SA20.
