The World Cup Qualifier 2023 seem to have entered into its super six phase with the top six teams from the ten competing teams who are taking part into the competition. In the competition, to everyone’s surprise, the Zimbabwe Cricket team have looked certainly looked a league apart from other teams in their group. The host also went onto defeat the two times World Champions West Indies by 35 runs.

Zimbabwe were up against Oman's side in the first game of the super six stages. The side are certainly the favourite for qualifying for the World Cup, along with Sri Lanka. Zimbabwe sealed a huge win against the USA in their previous fixture. All eyes were on Sean Williams, who is the leading run-scorer in the Qualifiers, with 390 runs in four matches, packed with two tons and a half-century. He also registered his career-best score of 174 vs USA.

Williams did not lead anyone down as the star left-hand batter went on to score this third century and second consecutive century. Williams has certainly lifted his game in this tournament as finishing in the top two is very much necessary for qualifying for the ODI World Cup which is scheduled to take place in India.
