'Sensational Shami, What a spell'- Fans couldn't resist praising M Shami for his magical spell of 4 for 11 against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023

Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans are currently playing against each other in the 44th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on Tuesday at Narendra Modi Stadium. Delhi skipper David Warner won the toss and elected to bat first. But, little did they know that their decision would prove a nightmare.

Gujarat seamer, M Shami came out all guns blazing. The 32-year fast bowler ran through Delhi’s batting unit as his sensational spell in the powerplay left Delhi reeling at 23 for 5 inside first five overs.

Shami got the first breakthrough on the very first ball of the match. It was outswinger outside off, which enticed Salt to go for the drive. However, the shot went straight into the hands of David Miller at cover. Delhi skipper, David Warner, unfortunately, got run out in the very next over and it was M Shami’s magic, thereafter. In his next over, he bowled a Test match length with a little late movement. Making his return, Rossouw had a poke at it and W Saha did the rest.

Shami bowled another over in the powerplay and accounted for the wickets of Manish Pandey and Priyam Garg. Shami bowls another on a good length and Manish Pandey edged it behind the keeper. Saha went to his right and pulled off a sensational one-handed stunner.

On his last ball of the over, Shami bowled a fuller one and it was angling away from the batter. Priyam Garg went for the drive without any foot movement and ended up edging to the keeper. Shami finished his powerplay spell of 4 for 11 in 4 overs. The fans have been in awe of the Indian pacer’s brilliant display of fast bowling.

Much to respite of Delhi fans, the Capitals haven’t lost any wicket, since. Axar Patel and Aman Hakim Khan have managed to stitch 43-run unbeaten partnership at the time of writing. It will be interesting to see if they could manage to produce big innings with the bat.
