Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is one of the few sports figures in India who have achieved some kind of success in two different sports. In addition to playing an important role for India's cricket team under Rohit Sharma, the 32-year-old spinner also holds the titles of former national Under-12 chess champion and International Master (IM) in chess. He also had the honour of representing his nation at the World Youth Chess Championships.

Meanwhile, a picture is getting viral on Instagram in which Chahal can be seen posing for a selfie with a South African Women's Chess Champion and a 1-time Africa Women’s Chess Champion Jesse February. The 26-year-old champion posted a selfie on her Twitter account with the caption, "Finally Met @yuzi_chahl!" after which the picture went viral on social media within seconds.

Amid the rumours of Shreyas Iyer dating Chahal’s wife, Dhanashree Verma, many fans have reacted to the image and said that Chahal has moved on. Interestingly, neither Iyer nor Dhanashree talked about the rumours and it looks like all these things are cooked up by some fans and media.

Chahal's brilliant performance in IPL

The Indian team are set to tour West Indies for a multi-format series which will be kicked off on July 12. However, Chahal won’t appear in the white jersey but will be back in the ODI series. The leg-spinner was last seen in action during the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 playing for Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Chahal played 14 matches in IPL 2023 and picked up 21 wickets at a decent economy rate of 8.18. He also became the highest wicket-taker in the history of the league as he has picked 187 wickets in just 145 wickets that too in just 10 seasons of the cash-rich league.

India ODI Squad: Rohit Sharma (C), Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Virat Kohli, Surya Kumar Yadav, Sanju Samson (wk), Ishan Kishan (wk), Hardik Pandya (VC), Shardul Thakur, R Jadeja, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohd. Siraj, Umran Malik, Mukesh Kumar
