RCB suffered a heartbreaking loss against LSG by 1 wicket in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 which was played on Monday, April 10 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The match witnessed a run-fest contest from both teams as LSG chased a monumental target of 212 runs.

Meanwhile, former New Zealand cricketer Simon Doull took a huge dig on former RCB captain Virat Kohli who played a brilliant knock of 61 runs off 44 deliveries. Doull said that Kohli started really well and was scoring runs at good pace but ever since he was getting close to the 50-run mark, he started thinking about his personal milestone. This statement of Doull has brought a lot of trolls for himself on social media.

Virat Kohli started off like a train. He was hammering shots. But from 42 to 40 he took 10 balls. He's concerned about his personal milestone. I don’t think there’s room for that in this game anymore. You’ve just got to keep going, especially with wickets in hand at that stage. You’ve got to keep going,” he said during the commentary.

A nail-biting contest between LSG and RCB

Earlier, during the recently concluded Pakistan Super League, Doull also raised questions on Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s strike rate and made a huge remark about him. He said that rather than focusing on his hundred Babar should go for boundaries while playing against Quetta Gladiator.

“Rather than putting the team first... the last little while, that's all that been happening. Rather than looking for boundaries, still, so much firepower to come. Hundreds are brilliant, stats are great, but it has to be team first,” Doull had said during his commentary stint.

Talking about the match between LSG and RCB, the match went to the last ball of the second innings as Nicholas Pooran's fiery 19-ball 62 helped LSG to chase the target. They needed only 1 run in the final ball and Harshal Patel was given the responsibility to bowl. Avesh Khan was facing the ball but missed it however, Dinesh Karthik failed to collect the ball behind the wickets due to which LSG batters took a single and won the match.
