The 15th match of IPL 2023 saw a close fight between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Supergiants. Batting first in this match, RCB put up a total of 212 runs on the scoreboard. In reply, LSG lost their 3 wickets even before 30 runs. But later, some of the middle-order batters performed so brilliantly that they won the match with one wicket remaining on the last ball. However, despite this, a player from Lucknow is stuck in a bad situation.

However, while chasing the big target, LSG needed only 1 run on the last ball, although their 9 wickets had already fallen. Then, Harshal Patel, who was bowling the last over, beat Avesh Khan, who was batting. But, Ravi Bishnoi, who was on the non-striker's end, rushed to take the single. After completing the run, Avesh took off his helmet and threw it on the ground. For this act of his, he was reprimanded by the Indian Cricket Board.

The IPL wrote on its website about Avesh's act that Lucknow Super Giants' Avesh Khan is reprimanded for violating the code of conduct. Avesh has admitted Level 1 Offense 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct and has accepted the sanction.

Brilliant batting performance by LSG middle order

When Avesh ran for a run, RCB wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik had a good chance to run him out. But here Karthik made a big mistake. Karthik had to collect the ball behind the wickets and hit the wicket only, but he failed to catch the ball and the LSG batters ran and completed one run.

Talking about LSG chase, they lost their explosive opener Kyle Mayers for a duck. Deepak Hooda and Krunal Pandya also fell cheaply. However, later, Marcus Stoinis got them back in the contest with his fiery knock of 65 runs which included 6 fours and 5 sixes. But, the Caribbean power, Nicholas Pooran outperformed everyone by smashing the fastest fifty of the season in just 15 balls and helped LSG to win the match.
