The inaugural season of the Women's T20 League was filled with lots of thrilling matches. It, finally, came to an end on March 26, 2023. The Mumabai-based franchise were crowned as the champions as they defeated Delhi by 7 wickets in the final on Sunday.

The tournament witnessed many great bowling performances from numerous bowlers. They helped their team to restrict opponents on low totals on the back of sensational bowling performances.

1. Marizanne Kapp (5-15 vs Gujarat):

The Delhi-based franchise clashed against Gujarat in the 9th match of the league on March 11. In that game, South African star all-rounder Marizanne Kapp displayed a brilliant bowling performance as she picked up 5 wickets while conceding only 15 runs in her 4-over quota.

2. Tara Norris (5/29 vs Bangalore)

The second match of the tournament was played between the Bangalore-based franchise and Delhi. The Delhi batters produced a brilliant batting display as they put up a monumental total of 223 runs in the first innings. Chasing the target, Bangalore's batting lineup was brutally destroyed by Tara Norris, as she recorded a brilliant bowling figure of 5/26.

3. Saika Ishaque (4-11 vs Gujarat)

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side provided a great all-round performance in the first-ever match of the league, defeating the Gujarat-based franchise by a huge margin of 143 runs. Uncapped Indian spinner Saika Ishaque performed brilliantly as she picked up 4 wickets while conceding only 11 runs in her 4 over quota.

Before winning the final match, Mumbai knocked out the UP-based franchise in the eliminator game. Mumbai scored 182 runs while batting in the first innings. It was a tough task for UP to chase down the target against a mighty bowling attack of Mumbai bowlers.
