New Zealand beat Pakistan in the third T20I by 45 runs and sealed the 5-match series. The Men in Green have been struggling to find their form in the shortest format of the game. In the third T20I Finn Allen smashed several records, as the explosive batter scored a hundred. His century against Pakistan shattered former captain Brendon McCullum's record for the highest T20I score by a New Zealand batter.

Former Australia captain Aaron Finch holds the record for the greatest T20I individual score, with 172 runs against Zimbabwe in 2018. Allen's knock also lists him in fifth place in all-time individual T20I scores.  This was also the first time a Kiwi batter hit more than 10 sixes in a T20I knock. Previously, Corey Anderson and Colin Munro each hit ten sixes in 2017 and 2018.

This was Allen's second T20I century, following his 74 off 41 balls in the previous match. The right-hander completed his century in just 48 balls, making it the third-fastest by a Kiwi batter in the shortest format. Glenn Phillips holds the record for the fastest T20I century by a Kiwi off 46 deliveries.

Finn Allen destroys Pakistan

Allen struck Pakistan's bowling attack around the park, breaking McCullum's 12-year-old record. He surpassed McCullum's 123 against Bangladesh in 2012 to register the highest score of 137 runs. He hit 16 sixes in the innings and broke the record as well. After the first wicket of Devon Conway, he stitched a 125-run partnership with Tim Siefert for the second wicket, with the wicket-keeping batter contributing 31 runs.

The batter took Haris Rauf for 27 runs in an over, smashing the speedster for three sixes, two fours and a single. The umpires had to call for replacement balls three times after Allen smacked them out of the ground. Pakistan bowlers Mohammad Wasim Junior and Zaman Khan went for more than 10 runs an over. Captain Shaheen Afridi went for 43 in his four overs while Haris Rauf was smashed for 60 in his full-over spell. The Men in Green scored 179 runs.
