The Indian team qualify for the final of the U-19 World Cup 2024 for the second consecutive year after beating South Africa by 3 wickets on Tuesday. Uday Saharan's side has been one of the most consistent sides of the tournament as they have won all their games so far in the tournament. The Men in Blue youngsters have been one of the most dominant sides when it comes to the tournament as they are currently the defending champions and have won the trophy 5 times. 

Winning the toss the 5-time champions elected to bowl first. The Proteas did not have the start they wanted against a quality Indian bowling attack. Opener Lhuan-dre Pretorius was the highest scorer for the side scoring 76 runs Richard Seletswane was the other batter to score a half-century as the batter started off very slowly scoring 23 off 75 balls and then started acclerating towards the end of the innings. 

Sachin Dhas hero for India

The batter scored 64 off 100 deliveries and helped the hosts to put up a total of 244/7 on a dry surface. Raj Limbani was the pick of the bowlers as the pacer picked three wickets, with Musheer Khan picking two and Naman Tiwary and Saumy Pandey scalping one wicket each. 

Chasing a target in the semi-final is always difficult. The Rainbow Nation bowlers had a dream start picking the wicket of Adarsh Singh in the first ball of the Indian innings. The top-order for the side were demolished by the Proteas bowlers as they were struggling at 32/4. When skipper Uday and Sachin Dhas stitched a partnership of 171 runs and helped the side to make way for the final. The latter missed a well-deserved century as he was dismissed on 96 runs. The former was there in the crease till the end and was out at the score of 81 runs and a solid 13 runs off 4 balls helped India to secure another U-19 final.
