IPL is a highly competitive environment and all the players of the 10 teams give it their all to win the coveted trophy. Similarly, like all the players fight on the field every year, their franchises also have an off-field battle that happens in the form of auctions which plays a major role in deciding the fate of the franchises.

All the players share a special bond with the franchises they are associated with especially the captains but if things don’t go as expected sometimes things can get sour between the franchises and the players that is what seems to have happened between David Warner and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

A few seasons back, a rift emerged between Warner and SRH when the Australian star was ousted as captain midway through the season and subsequently benched. The once-amicable relationship between the two has soured since then. Warner later moved on to join Delhi Capitals and was retained by the franchise in preparation for the IPL 2024 auction.

How did Warner get to know about it?

Another side of it was seen today when David Warner found out today that he has been blocked by SRH from social media and David Warner was quick to react to it by letting his fans know about it. It all unfolded when Warner utilized Instagram to post screenshots revealing that SRH had blocked him while he attempted to extend congratulations to his compatriot Travis Head for joining his former IPL team. Travis was acquired by the Sunrisers for a sum of Rs 6.80 crore in the IPL 2024 auction held in Dubai.

However, when Warner sought to convey his congratulations on social media, he discovered that SRH had restricted his access. SRH has been bullish on Australian firepower in this year’s auction as they picked up Australian fast-bowling all-rounder Pat Cummins and explosive all-rounder Travis Head at 20.5 crore and 6.80 respectively.
