The 50th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, May 6. Both teams clashed earlier in the 20th match of the season where RCB emerged victorious by 23 runs.
Meanwhile, former RCB captain Virat Kohli has sent a letter to the Indian Cricket Board after his heated altercation with Sourav Ganguly and Gautam Gambhir. A report by Dainik Jagran claimed that Kohli has said in the report that he didn’t say anything to both Ganguly and Gambhir so he doesn’t deserve any more fines from them.
Kohli’s performance in the season is brilliant so far as he has scored 364 runs in the 9 matches he played so far. However, he is making headlines with his non-cricketing reasons as first he was involved in a no-handshake moment with Ganguly and after it he had a fiery encounter with Gambhir which made the Indian Cricket Board put a fine of 100% of his match fee on him.
Will DC avenge their loss?
Meanwhile, talking about the upcoming clash between DC and RCB, the David Warner-led team can’t afford any more loss from here as they have only 6 points after 10 matches in the league so far. However, they would be high on confidence as in their last match they defeated the table toppers and defending champions Guajrat Titans (GT) by 5 runs but the win didn't help them to move from the last position.
On the other hand, RCB's recent form is similar as they have clinched three wins in their last four outings including an emotionally-charged, low-scoring encounter against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), where their 126 proved far too much for the hosts and handed them an 18-run loss. But they can't underestimate DC as their bowling department has done a great job in the season so far and if their batters also get their form back they can make a remarkable comeback in the season from here.
