In the third ODI of the five-match series, South Africa beat Australia by 111 runs. After a fabulous batting performance, the Proteas were on top of the game. Riding on Aiden Markram's amazing century, South Africa posted a massive total of 338/6 in 50 overs. In response, Australia failed to put up a show and lost the game by 111 runs.
Despite their poor performance with bat and ball, the Aussies tried to change the game on the field. Bowling all-rounder Sean Abbott was on the roll as he took an unbelievable catch near the boundary ropes. His efforts stunned not only fans but also opponents. It's worth noting that the Porteas could have scored more if Abbott hadn't taken the one-hand stunner near the boundary lines.

In the 47th over, South African allrounder Marco Jansen was hammering the opposition as the hosts looked for a formidable total. Aussie spinner Nathan Ellis came to bowl, and Jansen dismantled him by scoring 14 runs off his first three deliveries. Ellis now tried to escape Jansen's range and bowled a short-pitch delivery outside off stump. Jansen hit the ball enough to let it cross the ropes. However, Abbott had some other plans. After running more than 20 yards, he jumped and took the stunner.
South Africa stay alive in the series
After losing the first two games of the ongoing series, Proteas finally made a comeback with a blistering victory. After winning the toss, Australia opted to bowl first. Their decision didn't go well, as Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma added 146 runs for the first wicket. As De Kock missed his well-deserved century, South Africa skipper Bavuma scored a half-century.
In the end, Aiden Markram's amazing century helped Porteas cross the 300-run mark. Markram, in his innings, scored an unbeatable 102 runs off 74 balls with the help of nine fours and two sixes. In response, Australian batters failed to produce an outstanding performance. Apart from opener David Warner, not a single batter crossed the 50-run mark. Warner, in his inning, scored 78 runs off 56 balls with the help of 10 fours and three sixes. With this victory, South Africa kept the series alive as they are trailing by 2-1 in the five-match series.
