Watch: Ben Stokes sweats out in Chepauk ahead of CSK vs DC clash in IPL 2023

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are set to take on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing Indian Premier League 2023 on Wednesday. However, ahead of the game, CSK dropped a big hint about the participation of allrounder Ben Stokes in the upcoming game. Notably, Stokes is currently running out of cricket due to a toe injury.

In a recent video posted by the franchise, Stokes can be seen practising in the nets. Stokes can be observed training out in Chennai's renowned Chepauk in a video that was posted by the franchise's official Twitter account. The Englishman was even seen putting some powerful shots in the back of the net. "Freeing up those big arms," Chennai Super Kings wrote on Twitter.

Notably, in the ongoing tournament English skipper has played just two games for the franchise and ahead of the business end of the tournament team would like him to make a comeback. It is also worth noting that CSK spent a whopping sum of INR 16.25 crore to onboard Ben Stokes in the player's auction last December.

CSK set to take on DC on Wednesday

After thrashing arch-rival Mumbai Indians in their last game Chennai Super Kings is set to host David Warner's Delhi Capitals at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. Both teams are coming here after winning their last games and would like to continue their dominance. A win here will ensure CSK a berth in playoffs while DC's chances will increase significantly.

Notably, DC has been phenomenal in the last few matches. After losing five out of five games at the start of the season DC made a massive comeback. They clinched four out of the next five games and now are in the race for playoffs. They have eight points in 10 games while CSK has 13 points in 11 matches.
