India fast bowler Mohammed Siraj gave India a solid start in the second match of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. He brought the heat inside the stadium as he got into a verbal altercation with Najmul Hossain Shanto.
Bangladesh opted to bat first in the match after Litton Das won the toss in the decisive clash of the three-match series. Eyeing a historic series victory against the visitors, the home side got off to a rocky start after Mohammed Siraj made the new ball talk. The Indian pacer trapped the Bangladeshi openers Anamul Haque and Litton Das to hand India a blistering start in the contest.

However, India also face an injury concern as Rohit Sharma injured his thumb while going for a catch at slips early into the game. The Indian captain has been taken to hospital for scans. It will be interesting to watch who comes with Shikhar Dhawan to open the Indian innings.
India will look to level the series
A series win against the mighty Indian team is on the cards for Bangladesh and the hosts will be determined to make that happen after catching the visitors off-guard on a turning Mirpur track in the first ODI. Team India batters looked vulnerable against spin, especially on the surface that gripped and turned and it was pretty evident on Sunday. India will look to win the second ODI and stay alive in the series.
A lot has been up for discussion ever since the defeat in the opener with India’s batting and fielding coming under the scanner. India couldn’t do much with the bat as they put up a disappointing total of 186 and bowled out in just 41.2 overs. Chasing the target of 187, the Bangladeshi batting line-up was shattered like a pack of cards.
An unbeaten 38-run knock from Mehidy Hasan Miraz guided Bangladesh to victory in the first match, at Shere Bangla National Stadium who was dropped by wicketkeeper KL Rahul earlier and it proved to be the reason of India’s defeat.
