Was this the only way Finn Allen could get out tonight?
HEADS-UP play and a BEAUTIFUL throw from Shehan Jayasuriya!

Finn Allen makes a bizarre mistake
Matthew Wade and Finn Allen both scored 28 runs as they put up a 43-run stand in four overs to give the San Francisco Unicorns a great start to their chase. However, Finn Allen's run-out swung the game in favour of the Seattle Orcas.
The Kiwi opener, who was trying to finish over for a single and was caught off guard, made a schoolboy error. In the end, it was a weird dismissal and a prime example of a top international player's lack of attention.
Allen played a defensive push towards shot mid-on in Cameron Gannon's fourth over and raced comfortably for a single. Shehan Jayasuriya dashed towards the ball and threw it towards the stumps with a one-handed pickup, trapping Allen short of his ground.
The Unicorns were eventually bowled out for 142, and the Orcas triumphed by 35 runs. Gannon, the medium pacer, took 4/23 and contributed to his team's triumph. Shadab Khan led the way with 37 points, while Matthew Wade added 28. All of the hitters saw at least one at-bat but were unable to produce the necessary large score.
Seattle Orcas lead the MLC 2023 standings after the fourth match, with two victories in two games. Both the Teas Super Kings and the San Francisco Unicorns have won a game. MI New York, the Los Angeles Freedom, and the Los Angeles Knight Riders all lost their first games. The Knight Riders will play MI New York in Dallas on Sunday, July 16th.
