There have been many controversial incidents on the cricket field that are still on everyone's mind. Be it monkey gate or sandpaper, cricket has seen it all. But above all, there was a controversy that wreaked havoc in the entire cricket fraternity, and that was the slap-gate incident. It was during a match between Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League when the former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh slapped fast bowler S Sreesanth.

After about 15 years, it seems that the war has started again between the two cricketers. Although in reality, it was just for the advertisement of a food delivery brand named 'Zomato'. In the ad, Harbhajan and Sreesanth were seen fighting over the bad pronunciation of Zomato. Harbhajan called it "Zomaato" while Sreesanth called it "Zomaito".

India's young batsman Rishabh Pant posted a video on his Twitter handle with a funny caption, "Can't believe Bhajji Pa and Shree fought once again."

Zomato's official Twitter handle also reposted Rishabh Pant's post and wrote, "From 2008 to 2023, some things never change". However talking about their first fight, it was during a game between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab in the 2008 IPL edition, when Harbhajan slapped Sreesanth at the IS Bindra PCA Stadium in Mohali, and as a result, he was banned for the rest of the season.

Because of me, my teammate faced embarrassment: Harbhajan Singh

Both Harbhajan Singh and Sreesanth have made significant progress since that unpleasant episode in 2008. Off the pitch, the two cricket players get along well and always greet one another pleasantly. Both are working together as cricket analysts in the ongoing 16th edition of the Indian Premier League currently. Earlier, Harbhajan talked about the incident and express his thoughts.

"What happened was wrong. I made a mistake. Because of me, my teammate faced embarrassment. I was ashamed. If I had one mistake to rectify, it was how I treated Sreesanth on the field. It shouldn't have happened. When I think about it, I feel that there was no need for it.”
