A brilliant all-round performance by World Giants

Talking about the match, the Giants led by Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bat first but suffered a huge blow when they lost Gayle in the 3rd over. However, later, the Australian duo Shane Watson and Aaron Finch started hammering every bowler out of the park as they stitched a magnificent 88-run stand for the second wicket.

Finch was trapped by Pravin Tambe in the 9th over and brilliantly caught by Robin Uthappa behind the wickets. He scored 53 runs off just 31 deliveries which included 7 fours and 3 sixes. On the other hand, Watson also smashed a half-century and departed after scoring 55 runs off 32 balls. He smashed 5 fours and 3 sixes during his knock. However, Indian Maharajas’ bowlers made a brilliant comeback and restricted the opponents to 166 runs.

Harbhajan bowled brilliantly and picked up 4 wickets in just 2 overs. Tambe also bowled well and took 2 wickets while conceding only 17 runs in his 4 overs. Chasing the target, the Maharajas started well as both Uthappa and Gautam Gambhir provided a flying start but after their departure, the middle order disappointed the fans once again as the Maharajas lost the match by 2 runs.
