Pakistan Cricket Team finally arrived in India on Wednesday, after seven long years. They landed at the Hyderabad airport ahead of the Men's ODI World Cup 2023. All 15 players along with the support staff have landed safely in India. They received a warm welcome from the fans at the airport as well as outside the airport.
The entire airport was filled with fans chanting the names of Pakistan captain Babar Azam, and other players, who were eager to catch a glimpse of them. Due to political tensions India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2012-2013.
The Asian Giants came to India after the 2016 T20 World Cup. This time also they received a grand welcome in India and the players took to their official social media account to showcase their delight. Captain Babar Azam, pacer Shaheen Afridi, and wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan were among the players to thank the Indian authorities, as well as the crowd.

All of us are proud of travelling for the World Cup: Babar Azam
The Pakistan Cricket Board shared the video of their arrival on Twitter. It captured the moment after their arrival in India, where they were warmly welcomed at their hotel. They will play a couple of warm-up matches at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Before their opening match against the Netherlands. The crowds were held back by security and police, as they cheered and shouted as the team made their way through to the team bus and the hotel.
Babar previously before leaving for India said, "All of us are proud of travelling for the World Cup. Although we have not played in India before, we are not taking too much pressure. We have done our research and we have heard the conditions are similar to how they play out in other Asian countries. It is quite an honour for me to travel as the captain this time around, I hope we come back with a trophy this time."
The Men in Green will definitely look to perform better in the World Cup. As they did not have a good Asia Cup campaign.
