The Shaheen Afridi-led Lahore Qalandars registered a massive victory over Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League game on Monday. After winning the toss, Qalandars decided to bat first and posted a massive total of 200/7 in 20 overs. In response, United failed to hold its nerves and bowled out for 90 runs in 13 overs.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan start allrounder Rashid Khan shined with both bat and bowl for the Qalandars. Rashid scored 18 runs off 12 balls while taking two wickets in three overs. Rashid attracted netizens with his amazing helicopter shot which earned him a 99-meter-long six.

The six came in the 19th over of the first innings against Tom Curran. On the third ball of the over, Rashid smashed Curran over midwicket as the ball sailed into the stands. Later, PSL tweeted that it was a huge 99m maximum.

Talking about the game, while batting first, Qalandars, with the help of Abdullah Shafique's furious 45 runs off 24 balls, put on a massive total of 200 runs. In response, David Wise, Rashid Khan, and Sikandar Raza Qalandars bowled out United for 90 runs and registered a massive victory of 110 runs.

Lahore Qalandars tops the table

After the massive victory over Islamabad United in their last game at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore Qalandars become the table topper. In this season, till now, Qalandars have been phenomenal as they have won 4 out of five games they have played. They displaced Multan Sultans as they have a better Net run rate.

Talking about PSL season 8, Peshawar Zalmi is set to take on Karachi Kings on March 1 at Pindi Club Ground in Rawalpindi. Zalmi has lost the last two games and will be looking to make a comeback to be in the race for playoffs. While Kings, in their last game, beat Multan Sultans by 66 runs, they will be looking to continue their winning run.
