On Wednesday, August 9, Australia's young pace star Spencer Johnson made his Hundred debut for Oval Invincibles in London, recording unbelievable figures of 3 for 1 from 20 balls. His spell was the most economical 20-ball effort in The Hundred.

Johnson startled a star-studded Manchester Originals batting order at the Oval only two days after getting his first international call-up for Australia's T20Is against South Africa, delivering 19 dot balls out of his total 20 deliveries. Johnson, who suffered injuries early in his career, including a recurrent foot stress fracture, made his Big Bash and Sheffield Shield debuts this year at the age of 27.

Here's the video of Spencer's bowling:

The visiting openers, Jos Buttler and Phil Salt struggled against the left-arm fast, who continued to experiment with back-of-the-length and fuller-length deliveries. Buttler's pull off a Spencer Johnson short ball to deep square leg was the only run scored against the Australian on Wednesday.

The South Australian said, "I can't believe it myself to be honest." "I would've loved to be part of the Ashes. Hopefully one day I will be there." "I've had a bit of a tough run with injury but I've come out of the other side now - I'm loving it."

James Anderson stated after seeing his bowling, "If I was Australian I would be like 'get him a contract now." "Make sure they look after him. Imagine Spencer in the <50-over> World Cup in India. He would be incredible."

He was supported by Sunil Narine's outstanding bowling who took 3 for 12. Gus Atkinson (2/24) and Nathan Sowter (2/34) both took two wickets as the spinner removed Laurie Evans, Max Holden, and Ashton Turner.

Manchester Originals were bowled out for 92 in 89 deliveries, with Jamie Overton's 21-ball 37 the visitors' finest performance in a 94-run defeat. Earlier in the game, Jason Roy (59 off 42 balls) and Heinrich Klaasen (60 off 27 balls) each hit fifty, propelling the hosts to a massive total of 186 for 5.

The Invincibles will play the Northern Superchargers at Headingley on Friday, August 11. Meanwhile, the Manchester Originals will play the Superchargers in their next match on August 13.
