In the 70th match of Indian Premier League 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore faced defending champions Gujarat Titans at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bangalore. While batting first in a do-or-die game, former RCB skipper Virat Kohli smashed another century.
In his second consecutive century, Virat scored unbeaten 101 runs off 61 balls with the help of 13 boundaries and a six. However, Chasing 198 runs GT got a shaky start as wicketkeeper-batter Wriddhiman Saha was dismissed by Mohammed Siraj. That wicket is more from Wayne Parnell than Siraj as he clinched one of the most impressive catches of the season.
On the third ball of the over, Saha skipped down the track and thumped the drive over the infield, and for a brief second, he appeared to have placed it well enough to claim a boundary. Wayne Parnell, on the other hand, leapt to his full height and plucked the ball out of thin air with his left hand.

Notably, This is a do-or-die game for Royal Challengers Bangalore and a win here will help them to qualify for the playoffs. However, losing here will knock them out of the league. And the fielding efforts like this will always ensure them a chance to clinch a victory.
Virat Kohli becomes the first player to score 7 IPL centuries
Star India batter Virat Kohli becomes the first batter to score 7 centuries in the Indian Premier League. He left Crish Gayle behind in the list as he has smashed six centuries in IPL history. He also becomes the only Indian with the highest number of centuries in T20 cricket.
Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians will be rooting for the defending champions as they will qualify for the playoffs if RCB fails to defend the target. Notably, in the first game of the day, Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets at the Wankhede Stadium. Star batter Camron Green hammered his maiden IPL ton.
