The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is finally concluding with the season finale scheduled for May 28, Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are on the hunt for a fifth title that will put them level with Mumbai Indians (MI). At the same time, Gujarat Titans have their eyes on history, as they could become the first team to win two consecutive titles in the first two seasons of participation. They already scripted history last season, winning the title on their debut season.

Talking of the final, the match is delayed due to rain and the fans in the Narendra Modi Stadium are visibly frustrated. Amidst all these, a video of a woman pushing a policeman in the stands went viral online with fans reacting plentifully to the same.

Likely scenarios with Rain playing spoilsport in IPL 2023 final

Not to mention that on May 26, the Qualifier Two match between GT and Mumbai Indians was also disrupted. However, there was a delay of about thirty minutes before that game began. The Titans easily won the match without losing any overs. The final between GT and CSK has, however, been postponed by more than 30 minutes as of the time of writing, two days later. Rain is pouring down in Ahmedabad, and the city's images don't seem good.

In terms of the final's playing rules, the overs won't be lowered if the game begins at 9:35 PM IST. However, starting beyond this time will result in some overs being reduced. The five-over shootout will only occur if the game begins at 12:05 AM tomorrow if it is still raining. However, a reserve day for the game, May 29, has been set aside in case the rain prevents any games from taking place.

The 16th IPL's total prize money is INR 46.5 crore, split among all participating clubs. The Mumbai Indians (MI), who finished third in the IPL 2023, will receive INR 7 crore. The fourth-placed Lucknow Super Giants will get INR 6.5 crore this year. A monetary award of Rs. 15 lakhs will be given to each Purple Cap and Orange Cap winner. This season, the IPL champion will receive INR 20 crore, while the runners-up will receive INR 13 crore.
