Randy Orton has been fined $1 lakh for his misdeeds in Smackdown. The 14-time world champion returned to Smackdown after more than 18 months and was confronted by the General managers of both the companies of WWE. Both the GMs from Raw and Smackdown approached Orton to be a part of their roster, which was beneficial, given how great the athlete is.
Before that happened, Orton returned to Survivor Series and took on the Judgement Day and Drew McIntyre as the fifth member of the team consisting of the likes of Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn. Orton helped the team to beat Judgement Day and McIntyre in the War Games. A day after the big event, Orton appeared in the Monday Night Raw.
The viper returned to Raw after more than 500 days and made his intentions clear. The apex predator wished to take down the Bloodline, who had taken him out in the past. It was later announced that Orton would appear in the Friday night Smackdown as well. To get hold of Orton in their respective arenas, both the GMs of Raw and Smackdown appeared on Friday night with exciting offers.
Randy Orton's costly move against Nick Aldis
Raw GM Adam Pearce offered Orton an opportunity to face Seth Rollins in the Royal Rumble. Smackdown GM Nick Aldis offered Orton a direct faceoff against the Bloodline. There were no surprises in Orton's decision, as he signed the contract of Aldis. After signing the contract with Smackdown, Aldis acknowledged the comeback of Orton. What followed it was an RKO out of nowhere.
Randy RKOed Aldis which was highly unexpected. Aldis was in total shock and returned with a penalty to Orton in the latest episode of Smackdown Live. Aldis initially announced a fine of $50,000 to Orton, But he later doubled it to $1,00,000, as he felt that an RKO might come to him out of nowhere the next time too. Orton was up against the Bloodline on Friday Night Smackdown later in the night.
