India and Australia are set to clash in the Test Championship final match at the Oval in England which will take place between June 7 and 11. The officials have also marked a reserve day if the match gets interrupted due to rain. Both teams have started preparing for the much-awaited contest as most players from both teams have reached England. However, the remaining ones are still busy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 and will soon join the squad when the league gets over on Monday.

Meanwhile, the cricket governing body has announced the match officials for the much-awaited final clash as Richard Illingworth from England and Chris Gaffaney from New Zealand have been named as the on-field umpires. Richard Kettleborough, another experienced English umpire, will serve as the TV umpire and offer the on-field umpires the necessary assistance.

Richie Richardson of the West Indies will serve as the match referee, with former Sri Lankan cricketer and current umpire Kumar Dharmasena serving as the fourth umpire. Due to their vast background officiating at the international level, Gaffaney and Illingworth are both members of the Emirates Elite Panel of Umpires. Meanwhile, Gaffaney will referee his 49th Test game while Illingworth will handle his 64th at the Oval.
