Team India has found two new stars in Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel. The two young players have played well to help put India on the cusp of a famous series win against England. During the IPL 2023 season, the two shared the dressing room for the Rajasthan Royals which also had Joe Root. 

Sanju Samson who is the Rajasthan Royals skipper had spoken highly about the duo. The Indian star had predicted that Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel can do wonders. The entire chat was ahead of the IPL 2023 season when Samson sat down with Star Sports India.

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the lead scorer during the India vs England 2024 series. The left-handed batter has already hit two double-centuries in successive games. Dhruv Jurel on the other hand, has earned rave reviews for his fighting knock during the Ranchi Test. 

Sanju Samson’s old video goes viral

Newfound Indian stars Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel were earmarked for success by Sanju Samson. The Rajasthan Royals skipper had made positive comments about the duo to Star Sports India ahead of the IPL 2023 campaign. 

When asked to name the one player to watch out for ahead of the 2023 season, Samson had said “I don’t like to take individual names, but there’s someone called Dhruv Jurel. He hasn’t played an IPL game but he has been with us for the 1 or 2 years. He has also put in some proper work in the last year. Yashasvi Jaiswal and him (Jurel) look well” 

This prediction has turned out to be true as the two stars have done well for India so far in this series. Yashasvi Jaiswal first captured the imagination of fans with the fastest-ever half-century in the history of IPL. 

Dhruv Jurel shot to fame with a match-winning knock during the IPL 2023 season. Many commentators earmarked the duo for success with India. Rishabh Pant’s absence and Ishan Kishan's not being picked up opened the door for Dhruv Jurel. The team management decided to give Dhruv Jurel a go after KS Bharat disappointed with the bat for India.
