The 16th edition of the Indian T20 League is just a few days away. The first match is to be played between the four-time champions Chennai and the defending champions Gujarat. The fans are eagerly waiting for the match because they will get to see former Indian captain MS Dhoni again on the field. However, the fans are waiting even more for April 3 as Dhoni will be seen playing at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai after almost 3 years. Dhoni himself is preparing the stadium for the fans.

Meanwhile, ahead of the cash-rich league, the Chennai-based franchise shared a video on social media in which he can be seen wearing Chennai's practice kit and blow-torching the chairs in Chepauk stadium. He was even looking very happy to see the chair shining in yellow colour. Dhoni painted the chair again to show the people present on the balcony. Fans appreciated this gesture of Dhoni as he did the work of labour with great interest.

This might be the last season of the Indian T20 League for MS Dhoni

Due to Corona, no Indian T20 League match was played at Chepauk Stadium for the last three years. However, the wait will end this time. On April 3, Chennai will be playing a match against the Lucknow-based franchise on their home ground in Chennai. At present, the entire team is preparing in Chennai itself. Dhoni also joined the training camp a few days ago and is practising for the richest league in the world.

The last season was disappointing for Chennai as in the league stage, the team won only four out of 14 matches. With 8 points, they finished in the ninth position in the points table. The four-time champion will be expected to perform better this time. The Men in Yellow also secured the services of some of the great cricketers in the mini-auction and England Test skipper Ben Stokes was one of them, who also joined the team. This season can also be the last season for the legendary wicketkeeper-batter Dhoni. In such a situation, the team would like to bid farewell to its captain.
