Sydney Thunder (THU) will be up against Adelaide Strikers (STR) in the 37th match of the ongoing BBL 2023/24. The big clash between the two sides is set to take place at Manuka Oval in Canberra. The two sides come to the game with contrasting form. While Adeliade have won all of their last three matches, Sydney Thunder have lost all their last 3 matches. The focus of both the teams would be to try and get a crucial win on the board which is very much essential.
At thei spoint in the tournament, all the matches matter for the teams. For Thunder, this might be a last opportunity to stay alive in the tournament. And nothing better for them to turn things aroud than playing in front of their home crowd with a star batter like David Warner back. However, things have not gone well for them in the league, as they find themselves in the last position in the points table. Even in the presence of Warner, Thunder could not beat Sixers.
On the other hand, Adelaide Strikers have the required momentum with them that can take them far in the ongoing 13th edition of the league. However, they need to win away from home. All of their last 3 wins have come at home, where they seemed to have understood the way to win matches. The challenge ahead of them would be to beat Thunder in their own bbackyard, who would be looking forward to giving their best performance as a team.

THU vs STR: Pitch Report
The match will be happening at Manuka Oval in Canberra. Traditionally, it has been a slow wicket where ths spinners usually dominate. With the progression of the game, batting only gets a lot tougher. There is seam and extra bounce on offer for the pacers as well. Early in the match with the new ball, the pacers can extract some swing as well. Batters will not have an easy time in the middle. Hence, a total of 160 would be par at Manuka Oval.
As the name suggests, the stadium is oval in shape. It has long straight boundaries and short square boundaries. Batters would be trying to target the square region. The spinners would have to bowl in accurate lines as bowling wicket to wicket can fetch them wickets. Pitching it up would not be a bad idea for the bowlers. Strike rotation would be key for the batters in the middle overs. Teams winning the toss would not mind batting first.
