Team India is bossing the 3rd Test vs England in Rajkot. There is more good news in store for the fans. Dinesh Karthik has given a massive update about Ravichandran Ashwin’s participation during the ongoing match.
On the morning of the 4th Day, Dinesh Karthik revealed a chat with Kuldeep Yadav. According to the Indian left-arm wrist spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin can come back during the game.
It is to be noted that Ashwin had flown back home at the end of day two due to his mother’s health issue. The veteran bowler had completed his 500 Test wickets on the same day with the wicket of Zak Crawley.
Is Ashwin set for a swift comeback to Rajkot?
Dinesh Karthik spoke more about Ashwin’s likely participation during the Rajkot Test. According to the RCB wicketkeeper and batter, Ashwin might bowl during the game. Rohit Sharma and India need Ashwin and his experience with the ball during the final innings.
The ball has started to spin as evident with the way Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja bowled. England, at one stage, was coasting, but the Indian bowlers made a tremendous comeback with the ball.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his second century of the series to prove his status as the fastest-rising batting talent. The left-handed batter might have begun slowly but picked up the pace once he got his eye in.
It was an amazing moment as the youngster got to the three-figure mark and celebrated in style. Jaiswal had to retire hurt on 104, but it was confirmed he will come out to bat on day four.
Shubman Gill scored yet another fifty as the young batter is looking set for yet another Test ton. This will be his second successive century if Gill happens to cross the three-figure mark on Sunday.
Rajat Patidar the only disappointment with the bat was when he fell for a duck. The 30-year-old hasn’t been able to score runs in his last three innings. Once KL Rahul comes back, Rajat Patidar will make his way out of the team for the veteran India batter. The series is currently levelled at 1-1 and there are two more games to go after this Test.
