Former Indian star Irfan Pathan has come up with a massive suggestion to Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of IPL 2024 auction. The 39-year-old has suggested two bowlers who could be of huge help to RCB ahead of the upcoming season.
Royal Challenges Bangalore released three of their frontline bowlers last Sunday. Josh Hazlewood was released along with Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel. RCB then spent INR 17.75 Crores to trade Cameron Green from Mumbai Indians.
Irfan Pathan tells RCB to sign magical bowler –
Former India star Irfan Pathan has suggested Royal Challengers Bangalore to sign Mujeeb Ur Rahman during IPL 2024 auctions. The Afghanistan player played a key role for his nation during the ODI World Cup 2023 campaign with his bowling.
Irfan Pathan said “They could go for Mujeeb Ur Rahman. He is a bowler who can actually take the pitch away from the equation. He is basically a mystery bowler who can bowl with the new ball and he can be pretty handy in these sorts of conditions for bowlers”
Wanindu Hasaranga was another name suggested by Irfan Pathan to RCB during the IPL 2024 Auctions. “If you look at their squad, with Cameron Green coming in, they have their biggest headache sorted. The middle order is sorted. They will have to sort out their bowling. If they can get Hasaranga back at a cheaper price then well and good”
Speaking about Mitchell Starc, this is what Irfan Pathan said “I really think you might see Mitchell Starc playing for RCB because he was there before. They would want him there as well because being a left-arm seamer, bowling 140 Plus, having extra pace in those type of pitches in Bangalore will be of importance for RCB”
The former India pacer also heaped praise on local talent Vyshak Vijaykumar who made his IPL debut last year. “They have a very underrated bowler right now, which people might not be talking about. Vyshak Vijaykumar came in as a replacement and I thought there were quite a few things to like about him. His slower one was very impressive and that is why I think RCB has decided to leave out Harshal Patel”
