The appointment of Hardik Pandya as the new captain of Mumbai Indians for IPL 2024 has not gone well with many. Some of the loyal supporters of Rohit Sharm have expressed their disappointment over the same by taking it to social media. Some of the fans have already unfollowed the team on social media and others have expressed their anger over the same. 

Some of the fans have taken the aggressive route and have burnt the flag and cap of Mumbai Indians. There have not been many positives from the decision of MI to make Hardik the captain of the team at the moment. Until the start of the season, there might be genuine hate for Hardik over becoming the captain of MI. Rohit Sharma has an amazing legacy as a captain of MI. 

However, the reaction of Surykumar on social media has surprised many. In the Instagram post which was posted by Mumbai Indians about their association with Rohit as a captain, Yadav reacted with sad emojis, expressing his disappointment over the decision. Like him, many expressed their disappointment over the issue. There has been a mixed opinion on the move of Mumbai Indians.

Suryakumar has expressed his opinion on the same. The star batter posted a cryptic post on his Instagram story where he posted a heartbreaking emoji. Fans are speculating the reason behind Yadav's move. But most of them understand that it has probably been the reaction to the decision of MI to name Hardik Pandya as the new captain of the side. Yadav has been with MI since 2018. 

While many have expressed their anger over the decision of MI, some have also appreciated MI for their professionalism. Many have argued that MI did the right thing, as Rohit has not been in great form with the bat in the IPL in the last few seasons. Hardik has been brilliant as a performer. In the last couple of seasons, Hardik led Gujarat Titans well and also performed well as an All-rounder.
