WATCH: Misbah-ul-Haq trolls Shoaib Malik over 'family issue' as old video re-surfaces

Shoaib Malik completed his third marriage with Pakistani actress Sana Javed earlier this week. The former Pakistan captain has been slammed over social media after getting married. That confirmed his separation from ex-Indian tennis star Sania Mirza. Various media stories suggested that there was a rift between Shoaib and Sania, which had an official declaration. However, a day after Shoaib posted a wedding photo with Sana, an official statement from Sania's family confirmed that the couple had been divorced for several months. 

After their marriage, an old video has been re-surfaced, from the sets of a famous Pakistan cricket discussion show ‘The Pavilion’ on A Sports, during the 2022 T20 World Cup. This was the recording of the anchor where he asked why Misbah looked so happy on the sets. Malik, who was part of the panel along with the legendary Wasim Akram, said it was because he was away from his family. Misabh then taunted Mailk and gave a funny reply to the batter. 

Misbah replied to the comment saying  "People think everyone has the same problems in their lives." The 41-year-old batter will be participating in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL)  where he plays for Fortune Barishal and he became the second batter to score 13,000 runs in T20 cricket after Chris Gayle.

Have Sania and Shoaib been divorced?

Mirza and Shoaib Malik got married in 2010 and have a five-year-old son Izaan who lives with Sania Mirza in Hyderabad. As per the the Pakistan Daily reports no one of Malik's family attended the wedding of Sana and Shoaib and questions have also been raised by the batter's sister over the divorce issue with Sania. 

Sania's sister Anam Mirza stated, "Sania has always kept her personal life away from the public eye. However, today the need has arisen for her to share that Shoaib and she have been divorced for a few months now. She wishes Shoaib well for his new journey ahead!. At this sensitive period of her life, we would like to request all fans and well-wishers to refrain from indulging in any speculation and to respect her need for privacy,"
