The Hanuma Vihari controversy takes a different turn as the Andra Cricket Association has accused the batter of threatening the players to sign the 'Letter of Support'. As per reports by India Today, ACA has received complaints from teammates regarding this matter and they will investigate this issue thoroughly. Moreover, the players also accused Vihari of using vulgar language throughout the tournament.
ASA said, "Moreover, players had previously complained to the Andhra Team Managers Association that Vihari used foul language and misbehaved with fellow players during the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. It was stated that due to the behaviour of Hanuma Vihari, there was a class difference in the team."
The controversy started with Vihari accusing the ACA of sacking him right after the match against Bengal where they had chased down 410 runs. As per the batter, due to an argument with one of his teammates, who is the son of a politician, he was asked to resign from captaincy. Moreover, after Vihari posted on Instagram, Prudhvi Raj, the politician's son, called out Vihari for his behaviour.
'He was not given the NOC' - ACA opens up on Hanuma Vihari's accusation
The Andhra Cricket Association opened up on the Hanuma Vihari controversy stating that the former India cricketer requested to continue for Andhra as he was emotional after being dropped from the Indian team. Moreover, the reports also claim that Vihari was creating class discrimination among the players in the team.
ACA said, "Some players have complained to the Andhra Cricket Association that they were forced to sign under threats. Andhra Cricket Association will thoroughly investigate all the complaints received and report the facts to the Indian Cricket Board. He (Vihari) asked the Andhra Cricket Association to continue on behalf of Andhra, apologising for being emotional and frustrated for not being selected in the Indian team, as he was not given the NOC."
