India batting coach Vikram Rathour shared a warm embrace with star batter Virat Kohli, a moment made even more special as Kohli had broken Sachin Tendulkar's record of most ODI centuries with a brilliant knock of 117.

The camaraderie extended to the players, with Mohammed Shami, who played a pivotal role in dismantling the Kiwis' batting lineup, sharing a heartfelt moment with Ravichandran Ashwin. After the match, Mohammed Shami added a special touch by signing some bats, and Yuzvendra Chahal joined the celebration, warmly embracing players like Virat Kohli, pacer Jasprit Bumrah, and Ishan Kishan. Kohli, exchanging words with his former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate, shared a heartfelt moment. In the thrilling match, India chose to bat first and posted a formidable total of 397/4 in their 50 overs.

India skipper Rohit Sharma (47)  including four boundaries and four sixes and Shubman Gill (80) featuring eight fours and three sixes provided an excellent start with a 71-run opening partnership. Despite New Zealand's skipper Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell forming a crucial partnership to bring the Kiwis back into contention, Shami's remarkable seven-wicket haul left them without answers, securing India a 70-run victory. The opponent for India in the final is yet to be determined, as South Africa and Australia face off in the second semi-final at the iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.
