On the other hand, Rahane stayed not out after getting 71 off just 29 balls, including six fours and five sixes.

During his innings, Rahane played a couple of innovative shots, including a scoop shot over short fine leg and a reverse scoop over short third man. His knock helped the team amass 235/4, the highest total for the team and in the ongoing season across all teams.

After the end of the first innings, Dube spoke to the broadcasters of the tournament and praised Rahane's strike rotation and his ability to help him play his shots and maintain his shape. The left-hander also spoke highly of Rahane's contribution to their partnership.

Rahane's excellent form in the IPL comes after a successful Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign, where he played a crucial role in India's historic Test series win in Australia. He has been in excellent touch with the bat since his debut with the CSK team against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians, scoring 61, 31, 37, and 9 before the ongoing game.
