A picture has surfaced of Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, in which he is seen hugging former RCB captain Virat Kohli. LSG defeated RCB in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League 2023 and got a thrilling win on the last ball, after this, Gambhir was pumped up and celebrated very angrily but after that, he and Kohli were seen hugging each other.

Lucknow Super Giants defeated RCB by one wicket on the last ball in the match played at Chinnaswamy. Batting first, RCB posted a mammoth score of 212 for the loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Kohli, captain Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell played blistering innings. It seemed that this score will be big enough and RCB would easily win but it did not happen and the KL Rahul-led side won with the help of Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran's blistering innings.

As soon as Lucknow Super Giants beat RCB, Gautam Gambhir celebrated angrily and gestured to the crowd to shut up by putting a finger over his mouth. However, after the match, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were seen hugging each other. The Lucknow franchise also tweeted this picture.

We had to go hard: KL Rahul

On the last ball of the final over, Lucknow needed one run to win and Avesh Khan was on strike, he got beaten by Harshal Patel but Dinesh Karthik could not collect the ball properly behind the wickets, and taking advantage of this, the batsmen took one run as bye and won the match on the last ball of the match.

Meanwhile, in the post-match presentation, Rahul talked about the feeling of playing at the M Chinnswamy Stadium and said that this is the only ground where so many last-ball finishes are possible. Rahul failed to contribute anything to LSG's victory as he scored only 18 runs while facing 20 balls.

“This is the Chinnaswamy, the only venue where so many last-ball finishes are possible. From the position we were in, to end up winning it is superb. We had to go hard and the ball swung early, and they got 2-3 wickets to put the pressure on us. The only reason we got two points today is for the way the lower order batted.”
