'He is different from any other leg spinner.......' - Muttiah Muralitharan lauds Ravi Bishnoi after T20I series win over Australia

Former Sri Lanka cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan has showered rich praise on the Team India spinner bowlers Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi after the series win over Australia.

Team India clinched the T20I series by 4-1 against Australia on December 3 at M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium in Bangalore. Speaking about the game here, Suryakumar Yadav led Team India posted 160 runs on board in the given 20 overs. However, the visitors lost the game by six runs. Notably, the hosts just lost the third T20I game and went on to win the rest of the four games against the new ODI World Cup 2023 champions.

After the win, the former Sri Lanka cricketer, Muttiah Muralitharan, had special praise for Indian spinners who helped India win the series magnificently. Notably, the legendary cricketer feels Team India has always had great spinners, from legendary cricketer Anil Kumble to Ravichandran Ashwin. However, the former legendary spinner heaped praise on Ravi Bishnoi while claiming that he is a different bowler and superior as compared to the rest of the leg-spinners.

"India have always had a good, uh, set of spin in every generation. You see from Anil (Kumble) to (Ravi) Ashwin to now the young guys who have come. Bishnoi is different from any other leg spinner than any other ones. He bowls quicker and he makes slides the ball a lot," Muttiah Muralitharan said on Jio Cinema.

Moreover, the former Sri Lanka coach also talks about Axar Patel, who also helped equally in guiding India towards the win in the 5th T20I despite having a low total on the board. The 51-year-old legend also opens up about the tactic skills of Washington Sundar. Furthermore, the right-arm spinner shares some tips and tricks for the bowlers to take wickets in the game.

"Axar also is very accurate, not a big spinner of the ball and Washi also is similar because he doesn't turn much and is very accurate and quite quicker.
