Team India is all set to face England in the five-match Test series, which will commence on January 25 in Hyderabad. Notably, the Indian Cricket Board has announced the squad for the first two matches, and star cricketer Dhruv Jurel got the nod in the Test series.
However, there are still a few players who had stellar IPL editions along with first-class games who should have gotten a place in the Test series. Meanwhile, here are three names that the team should have considered for the five matches of the Test series against England.
Mohsin Khan:
The left-arm pacer should have gotten the spot in the England Test series owing to his impressive figures in the IPL 2022, where he played for the Lucknow Super Giants and took 15 wickets in 10 matches, with an economy of 7.05.
Notably, the great seamer also bowled well in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021-22, where he took 10 wickets in 7 matches with an economy of 6.38. Moreover, Mohsin Khan has played nine first-class matches so far, taking 23 wickets at an average of 28.86, which shows his class in Test cricket.
Umran Malik:
The right-arm pacer has been a sensation in the IPL 2022, where he played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and took 14 wickets in 7 matches, with an economy of 8.71. Moreover, the great seamer also clocked speeds of over 150 Kph consistently, making him one of the fastest bowlers in India. Notably, the young batter has impressive figures in first-class games, which have gotten him a place in the Test series.

Arshdeep Singh
The left-arm seamer from Punjab has been a consistent performer in the IPL, where he played for the Punjab Kings and took 16 wickets in 11 matches, with an economy of 8.43 in 2022.
Moreover, the great seamer also has the ability to swing the ball both ways and bowl in the death overs. In addition, the star cricketer has played 10 first-class matches so far, taking 29 wickets at an average of 24.86.
It was expected that Arshdeep Singh would be considered for the Test for Team India, but he is getting the opportunity in a white-ball game despite his stellar season in domestic games.
