The retention deadline for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has been closed. The trading window, on the other hand, has been extended until December 12, a week before the auction. With each team retaining and releasing players in turn. The auction is set to take place in Dubai on December 19, and it will be the first time the auction has been held outside of the country. The franchises will strategise their game plan and select the players they have in their notebooks.  

The IPL auction has produced some talents who have gone on to get large sums of money. When Punjab Kings (PBKS) purchased Sam Curran (Rs 18.50 crore) in last year's auction, he became the most expensive IPL player in history. The same year, Mumbai Indians (MI) paid Rs 17.50 crore for Cameron Green's services, while Chennai Super Kings (CSK) paid Rs 16.25 crore for Ben Stokes.

2. Rachin Ravindra

Rachin Ravindra was the best finding of the ODI World Cup 2023. The New Zealand batter made an immediate impact and remained consistent throughout the competition. Given his versatility as a floater, the stylish left-hand batter showed remarkable batting abilities that could get him a big contract. Teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He scored 578 runs in 10 innings at a brilliant average of 64.22 and a strike rate of 106.45.
