Australia's skipper Pat Cummins has been named as the new SRH skipper ahead of the IPL 2024. Notably, the 30-year-old cricketer had replaced star batter Aiden Markram as the side finished at the bottom of the points table under his leadership back in IPL 2023. However, Aiden Markram has guided the Sunrisers Eastern Cape to win back-to-back SA20 itles under his leadership.

Meanwhile, Pat Cummins had a great 2023 year as the skipper, as he went on to win the WTC Final 2023 and ODI World Cup 2023 titles for Australia. However, SRH last won the title back in 2016, and they aim to win the next edition, which is the main reason they have changed the skipper.

However, Australia's skipper, Pat Cummins, has recently opened up about his IPL stint. The 30-year-old cricketer reveals that India is his second home, and he has always enjoyed spending time here. In addition, the great seamer reveals that he has always enjoyed the battle against RCB batter Virat Kohli during the IPL.

I'm just a big believer in concentrating on what I do: Pat Cummins

"India is like a second home. We spend so much time here. IPL you've got your home teams. So you actually feel like you've got plenty of fans Or, you know, at least cricket fans that have, you know, supported you or, you know, lots of people come up to me and say, Oh, I'm from Kolkata or I go for KKR. So it's nice feeling like not everyone's against you," Pat Cummins said on Star Sports.

"I'm just a big believer in concentrating on what I do. Those guys are are that good, if you're just a little bit off, they'll find a way to kind of put you off your game. So, um yeah, it's always good coming up against Virat Kohli. He's got me a few times. I've got him a few times. It's always pretty good," he added further.
