The T20 extravaganza of the Indian T20 League finally kicked off on Friday, March 31 at the Narendra Modi in Ahmedabad. However, there was a little change in the digital rights for the 16th edition as the Reliance-owned JIO Cinema acquired the digital rights and they are also providing the stream free that too in 4k resolution.

However, the fans faced trouble in watching the first and second matches. Many fans got frustrated due to the buffering problem coming into Jio Cinema after every 5 minutes. Some even complained about it on Twitter. At the same time, many users have also shared memes regarding this on social media.

Gujarat started their Indian T20 League 2023 tournament with a promising win

Earlier, the digital rights were with Star Sports and they used to provide the stream on the Disney+Hotstar app, but this time they couldn't acquire the digital rights but they still have the broadcasting rights. Meanwhile, the first match was played between the defending champions Gujarat and the four-time champions Chennai, where the MS Dhoni-led side had to face defeat by 5 wickets.

But the users had to face trouble many times during the match as the Jio Cinema app stopped working in between and the live streaming of the match stopped, the same happened in the second match as well which was played between Punjab and Kolkata. The audience had to face many problems. It is being said that this happened because simultaneously many people started using the app at the same time and due to the excessive usage viewers had to face difficulties.

Viewers shared their woes on social media. Some people looked very angry because of the disturbance in the match. In reply to users, JioCinema tweeted "We regret this issue. This is not the experience we want you to have. To help us resolve this matter, pls DM details of your OS, app version & your mobile no. We appreciate your patience & hope to resolve this at the earliest."
