Gianluca Ferrero, the club's chairman, said that although they disagree with how their defence has been interpreted, they would rather put an end to the time of ambiguity surrounding their participation in international games.
This strategy is consistent with their earlier agreement with the Italian football federation, in which they forgave the offence and agreed to a point punishment without paying a fee. Given that Juventus previously placed seventh in Serie A. So they advanced to the competition's knockout phase, the club's elimination from the Europa Conference League is a serious setback.
Chelsea of the Premier League has also experienced consequences from UEFA, in addition to Juventus. The London-based club was assessed a 10 million euro penalty for providing false or misleading financial data on past transactions that took place between 2012 and 2019.
