On Sunday, India beat Ireland by 33 runs in the 2nd T20I in Dublin. The hosts suffered back-to-back losses in their T20 series against India. Ireland will look to stop India to make a clean sweep, on the other hand as India have sealed the series, they will look to do some experiments in the squad at the final T20I.

Ireland captain Paul Stirling won the toss and elected to bowl first. Batting first India posted 185 for 5 in 20 overs. With the opener, Ruturaj Gaikwad played a sensible knock and scored a half-century. India won the rain-hit first game by two runs (DLS method).

Ruturaj Gaikwad leads India to win 2nd T20I  

Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson gave the visitors the upper hand by putting on a 71-run partnership before Ben White dismissed the wicketkeeper for 40 runs in 26 balls, with five fours and a six, and Barry McCarthy claimed his second wicket of the day to remove Gaikwad for 58 runs in 43 balls. Gaikwad hit his second fifty in T20I.

After Samson's wicket, Rinku Singh came into bat with Ruturaj Gaikwad. The stage was set for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter after Gaikwad's wicket India were 129/4. The 25-year-old batter played a blistering knock of 38 runs off 21 balls, hitting 3 sixes and 2 fours. He smashed two towering sixes, in the penultimate over and a boundary, demolishing the Irish bowlers, along with Shivam Dube who was making a return to the Indian Team after almost 3 years. He scored 22 runs off 16 balls, helping the Men in Blue to put in a total of 185.

In reply Ireland's chase was spoiled by early setbacks, they lost skipper Paul Stirling without scoring. They were battling at 63 for 4 after Prasidh Krishna and Ravi Bishnoi caused havoc. The hosts' hopes were kept alive by Andy Balbirnie's heroic 72-run effort, but Arshdeep Singh's 50th T20I wicket ultimately ended their dreams.

India won the series with one match remaining as Ireland could only score a total of 152 for 8. Rinku Singh was awarded the man of the match.
