The Lucknow franchise have unveiled their new jersey for the upcoming season of the Indian T20 League. The franchise has made some major changes in new jersey, making it completely different from the previous one. However, the fans are not happy with the new design and they have been trolling the franchise for the poor choice.

The Indian Cricket Board secretary, Jay Shah was present at the jersey launch event along with the skipper KL Rahul, mentor Gautam Gambhir and the owner of the franchise, Sanjeev Goenka. Rahul entertained the crowd by walking on the ramp, along with other players like Krunal Pandya, Deepak Hooda, Ravi Bishnoi, and Jaydev Unadkat.

The Lucknow franchise made its debut in the Indian T20 League in 2022. Led by Rahul, the team had a pretty good season last year as they won nine out of their 14 matches and finished the league stage with third position at the points table. However, they lost to Bangalore in the eliminator by 14 runs and missed the chance to achieve glory on the first attempt.

The franchise will look to go ahead in the upcoming tournament as they have signed overseas players like Nicholas Pooran, Daniel Sams, Romario Shepherd, and Naveen-ul-Haq along with the Indian pacer Unadkat and the veteran spinner Amit Mishra for the 2023 season. They will start their campaign on April 1st with a match against Delhi at the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

The 16th season of the Indian T20 league will kickstart on March 31 with an opening match between the defending champions Gujarat and Chennai at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. The tournament will be played across the country after 2019, as the matches will be hosted by 12 cities all over India.
